16 No. high head Splitcase pumps of M+P are in operation
for supplying water through three long distance transmission
lines one travelling northwards all the way to Al Buraimi,
another serving the areas of Liwa and Shinas, and a third
line travelling south of the IWPP to cover the Wilayats
of Sohar, Saham, Al Khaburah and Al Suwaiq. A joint venture
of Gammon India/Al Matar executed this project for providing
drinking water to 6300 houses under Ministry of Public
Works of Sultanate of Oman.
