Cairo, the city of thousand Minarets is the most
populous city of Africa. To meet rapid population
growth due to urbanization and industrialization
in the desert heartland, Five (5) No. large Splitcase
pumps of M+P are in operation for supplying drinking
water from Fustat (old Cairo) city round the clock.
Total installed capacity of the plant is 32,400
m3/hr (780 mld) and being operated and maintained
by Drinking Water Company of Egypt. The pumps were
supplied through Kheir Group, Egypt. |
