different types of valves. Non return valves are required
at places, where the system engineering requires a unidirectional
flow like on the delivery side of pumps and are also
used in Pipe lines where reverse flow must be prevented.
These valves are ideally suitable for applications handling
water and other similar liquids.
Mather & Platt manufactures two types of Non return
valves.:
1. SLANTED SEAT NON RETURN VALVES
2. STRAIGHT SEAT NON RETURN VALVES

| SLANTED
SEAT NON RETURN VALVES |
| The
slanted seat check valve is a non-return valve with tilting
disc. The disk swings freely and follows the flow movement
of the operating liquid. The valve disk opens under
positive flow and retains a degree of opening corresponding
to the flow rate. When the flow direction is reversed,
the valve disc closes automatically until seated in
closed position.

SEAT NON RETURN VALVES |
| The
straight seat check valve with external dead weight is
a non-return valve for quick closing. The disk swings
freely and follows the flow movement of the operating
liquid.
The valve disk opens under positive flow and retains
a degree of opening corresponding to the flow rate.
When the flow direction is reversed, the valve disk
follows automatically until seated in closed position.
